• Free Spinach at the Farm!!

    Spinach growing in Greenhouse 4

The rain stopped and we have happily been spending some time out in the fields.  We’ve pulled the straw mulch back from the strawberries, finished the little remaining field clean up, and started prepping beds for the first round of seeding and planting.  Ground is ready for the first wave: bok choi, broccoli, cabbage, peas, beets, carrots, radishes, hakurei turnips, potatoes, scallions, spinach, onions, leeks, and more strawberry plants.

LOST ACRES VINEYARD HOLIDAY MARKET, THURSDAY APRIL 13th  4pm to 7pm

It’s also time to say goodbye to our overwintered crops.  We will be at Lost Acres Vineyard this Thursday selling the last of our Sweet Potatoes, Turnips, Potatoes, Lettuce Mix, Baby Kale, Spinach, Thai Hot Peppers, and Watermelon Radishes.  We’ll also have our own Crushed Tomatoes, Arugula Pesto and Sauerkraut. Stop by to say hi, buy some food, sip some wine and visit the other local vendors – Lyric Hill Farm, Maple View Farm, Sepe Farm, Lost Acres Orchard, Sweet Pea Cheese, Mimi’s Hill Top Apiary, Joy Newton Textiles, Gresczyk Farm and Tina’s Table

    FREE SPINACH FOR CSA MEMBERS

If you’ve been waiting to sign up for a CSA Share, now might be the time to do so – especially if you like SPINACH.  We are getting ready to transition the spinach greenhouse to its summer mode but still have plenty of delicious spinach in there. All CSA members are welcome to come down to the CSA Barn and cut themselves a big bag of spinach – an early thank you for signing up for a share.  Come down between 7 am and 6 pm Wednesday the 12th through Monday the 17th  –  bring a bag and knife or scissors to cut with.  The spinach is in our only Greenhouse inside the deer fence. Hope to see you at the Farm!

Hi Joe! Just wanted to say how wonderfully sweet the spinach was last week! What a great crop! Thanks for your efforts in making this available so early in the spring!
