SUPPORT THE FRIENDS OF HOLCOMB FARM

The Friends of Holcomb Farm is the nonprofit, member-based organization that oversees all the ways in which the farm serves people in Granby and beyond. Your annual gift of $25 or more makes you a member, and helps support the important work we do. We hope you'll join us, and connect with this special place -- this "jewel of Granby" -- Holcomb Farm.

WHAT IS FRESH ACCESS?

Check out this video, created by students from the University of Saint Joseph who conducted interviews at Holcomb Farm in 2022. It does a great job of explaining our Fresh Access program, through which we grow food for people in need.

VISIT OUR TREE TRAIL

Comprised of both mature and newly-planted trees, the Holcomb Tree Trail is located on the east side of Simsbury Road across from the main Holcomb Farm complex. Trees are labeled and the trail is marked with interpretive signs that teach visitors about not only trees, but wildlife, geology and more.

Happy Earth Day !!
Here on Holcomb Farm we believe in agricultural practices that support the health of our planet 🌎🌱

Some of the ways we practice Earth Day everyday is by
🐝growing the widest variety of beneficial species for our pollinators
🌻investing in our soil ecosystem’s health with cover crop and composting
🌱NEVER using chemicals

We believe that the healthiest food system is one where you can enjoy the abundance of earth right off the tomato vine knowing that it was grown responsibly and sustainably 🍅🍓🥕🍉🥬

We also believe that a healthy planetary food system feeds the community in more than one nourishing way. Connection to place, our food, each other, and the countless plant and animal species in our local ecosystem is at the core of how we grow 🌱🌎💚
