Heat oil in large pot over medium heat. Add onion and apple and cook, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes. Add cabbage and the rest of the ingredients and stir well. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce to a simmer and cover. Cook for about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender. Uncover and cook, stirring occasionally, until much of the juices have cooked off, about 5 more minutes.
