DESCRIPTION:Open Farm Day is a free\, family-friendly day full of farming fun when farms all around Granby open their doors to the public and invite you to experience demonstrations\, farm-fresh food\, games\, activities\, and to meet the animals. With so much buzz in the air and new things to discover\, it feels like a town-wide fair! \nBe sure to stop by Holcomb Farm this Open Farm Day! We’ll be hosting events in our new farm store at 87 Simsbury Road. \nWhat’s Happening\n10:00 AM — Cooking Demo with Chris Prosperi\nStart the day with a cooking demonstration in the Farm Store featuring seasonal farm ingredients. Metro Bis Chef/Owner Chris Prosperi will share his expertise\, tips\, and inspiration for making the most of what’s fresh from the farm. \n11:00 AM–2:00 PM — Farm Carnival Games\nHead to the field behind the Farm Store for old-fashioned carnival-style games! Bring the whole family and try your hand at a variety of games\, with prizes up for grabs. \n2:00 PM — Farm Trivia Contest\nHow well do you know your farm and food? Join us on the Farm Store porch for a fun and friendly trivia competition. Gather a team of 1–3 players and compete for a special prize! \nVisit Our Community Partners\nBe sure to stop by and say hello to our community partners throughout the day: \n\nGranby Education Foundation — Stop by their informational table to learn more about their work in our community.\nCT DEEP — Visit their informational table to learn more about Connecticut’s natural resources and environmental programs.\nThe Lucky Gut Collective — Pick up healthy drinks and treats available for purchase.\n\nThere’s plenty to see\, do\, taste\, and learn at Holcomb Farm.
