SUMMARY:Habitat Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a 1.5-mile guided walk through the beautiful east fields of Holcomb Farm. Along the way we will explore a variety of wildlife habitats\, from open fields to pond edges to forests. Learn about the native vegetation that supports local wildlife and hone your observation skills to use on your next visit. \nYour guides will be Peggy Lareau\, DEEP Master Wildlife Conservationist and Friends of Holcomb Farm Stewardship Committee member; and Gary Adamson\, Plant Conservation Volunteer with the Native Plant Trust\, Massachusetts Natural Resource Volunteer Coordinator for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy\, and a Holcomb Tree Trail volunteer. \nMeet at the Holcomb Farm Main Campus Parking Lot\, 113 Simsbury Road\, West Granby at 3:30 pm. \nParticipants are encouraged to wear comfortable hiking shoes. Please be advised: some trails may be soggy. \nAll ages welcome. (No dogs\, please.)
