SUMMARY:Yoga Workshops - Join Us for One or Both!
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER HERE \nOn August 19 we will offer two yoga workshops at Holcomb Farm. Improve your flexibility\, strength\, balance\, and overall well-being while enjoying the sights and sounds of this bucolic setting. \nWorkshop 1: Breath with Meditation led by local healing coach and certified Yoga Therapist Kristal Fiorentino (@kristalfiorentino).  An entry level class that connects breath with movement creating union or yoga between body and mind. All are welcome\, no yoga experience needed. Join Kristal as she leads you on a peaceful journey through Body\, Mind and Spirit. 10 – 11 am. \nWorkshop 2: Moving with Breath led by Brittany Gauthier of both Afterglow Studio in Hartford and Yoga from the Heart in Avon. Some yoga experience required for this flow\, that will include vinyasa and strength building poses. Join Brittany in an energizing and strengthening workshop.  11:30am-12:30pm \nPlease register in advance. Please bring your own mats\, water bottles\, seat cushion (towel\, blanket or bolster) and  an open heart.  Folding chairs will be available for use. \nCost to participate is $20. Attend both workshops for $30.  This event is part of our 30th Anniversary Celebration and all proceeds support the Friends of Holcomb Farm’s Fresh Access program\, which provides healthy food to people in need. \n

DESCRIPTION:RSVP HERE \nPlease join us for the 30th Meeting of the members of the Friends of Holcomb Farm. \nGather with friends. Enter our pie baking contest. Learn about permanent preservation of the farm and hear updates on the state of the farm and its programs. Elect the 2023-24 Board of Directors. \nThough we enjoyed hosting our annual meetings outdoors on the Tree Trail\, we are looking forward to meeting this year inside the North Barn. There will be no worries about rain or excessive heat—and we can hold our pie baking contest once again! \nJoin us to hear reports from the Friends’ board of directors and Farmer Joe and to have your questions answered. Stay with us after the meeting to enjoy pie and other desserts and to socialize. \nIf you’d like to enter the pie contest\, bring your best pie! (You certainly do NOT have to bring a pie.)
