Arbor Day: Learn How to Plant a Tree!

- Meet at farmhouse parking lot located at 113 Simsbury Road
- Rain date: April 28
Join Holcomb Tree Trail volunteers—who are also UConn Master Gardeners—as they demonstrate how to plant a tree and give tips on how to keep it alive and thriving. They will provide a brief history of Arbor Day, the importance of trees, and then get into the details of tree planting: explaining how to dig a proper-sized hole, watering, animal protection, mulching, and answer all your tree-related questions. Join us for this free, any-age educational event. Meet at the farmhouse parking lot and the group will walk to the planting site, about 1/4 mile walk. (No dogs please.)
