Volunteers Needed!
Our team of volunteers is amazing and we are lucky to have them. They do all kinds of activities to keep the Farm running on a tight budget. We welcome new volunteers! If you'd like to do good work, meet interesting people, and give back to your community, we would love to welcome you to our team!
Trail Maintenance
Volunteers maintain all our woodland trails: clearing fallen trees and limbs and painting trail blazes. We also build and maintain bridges and boardwalks over streams and wet trails and occasionally do erosion control work. Holcomb Tree Trail
The Friends of Holcomb Farm Stewardship Committee manages all the work of planning, planting, and maintaining the arboretum. They rely on a group of dedicated volunteers to plant all the trees, water the trees for at least three years after planting, and weed around planting sites. Volunteers also are involved with mowing the paths and clearing invasive plants like bittersweet that have overtaken mature trees in the fields and hedgerows. Our monthly volunteer work parties have made great progress in improving the overall appearance of the trail. Event Planning
The Friends of Holcomb Farm host a number of fundraising events throughout the year, including our Holcomb Hoedown and our Harvest Dinner and Live Auction. Do you have some experience with event planning? If so, we'd love to hear from you! Click here if you would like more information on supporting our events team.
