Nestled in the rolling hills of West Granby, Connecticut, Holcomb Farm is a historic 317-acre working farm with deep roots in the community. Since 1756, this land has been tended and cared for, and today it continues to thrive as a place where agriculture, conservation, education, and community come together.

The Friends of Holcomb Farm is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving, promoting, and utilizing this historic New England farm for the benefit of the community. Through sustainable farming, food access programs, public trails, and educational opportunities, we work to ensure that Holcomb Farm remains a vibrant resource for generations to come.

A Farm with Purpose

At the heart of Holcomb Farm is our commitment to growing healthy, nutrient-dense food using responsible, sustainable practices. Our farm produces fresh, chemical-free fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers through our year-round Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Our Farm Store also brings together the bounty of our fields with a carefully selected variety of products from other local farms and producers.

Fresh Food for Neighbors in Need

Access to fresh, healthy food is central to our mission. Through our Fresh Access initiative, we help address food insecurity by providing farm-fresh produce to families and individuals who face barriers to accessing nutritious food.

During the growing season, we distribute fresh produce to approximately 600 households each week across communities including Granby, Hartford, New Britain, Plainville, Bristol, Waterbury, and beyond. Through this work, we are helping ensure that more of our neighbors can enjoy the benefits of locally grown food.

More Than a Farm

Holcomb Farm is a place to grow in every sense of the word. Visitors can explore more than 10 miles of public trails, discover the educational Holcomb Tree Trail arboretum, participate in community events, and experience the beauty of a preserved working landscape.

Through workshops, cooking demonstrations, and educational programs, we create opportunities for people of all ages to connect with the land, learn about agriculture, and celebrate the importance of environmental stewardship.
