The Friends of Holcomb Farm offer an exciting array of programs and events throughout the year—from guided hikes on the Holcomb Tree Trail to seasonal plant sales, cooking demonstrations, gardening workshops, pop-up veggie sales, educational talks, yoga, and more. Beloved traditions like our annual Holcomb Hoedown and Harvest Celebration bring the community together, and we’re always offering exciting new programs. Friends of Holcomb Farm Annual Meeting
The Friends of Holcomb Farm will host its annual meeting on Saturday, August 20, at 10 am, with tours of the Holcomb Tree Trail beforehand. Please park at the main Holcomb Farm complex located at 113 Simsbury Road. Walk across the intersection of Simsbury Road and Day Street South to the Holcomb Tree Trail. Proceed up the gravel farm road and follow the signs to the Seat, which is the group of benches at the top of the Knoll. This walk takes 5-10 minutes. We will provide rides up the hill to those in need of assistance. Seating and bottled water will be provided. We look forward to celebrating our accomplishments, recognizing all who have given so much time and energy to the farm this year, and sharing our plans for the year ahead.
Tree Trail tours
We will be offering short guided Tree Trail tours before the meeting. If you are interested, tours will depart from the meeting site at 9:00 and 9:30AM.
