The Friends of Holcomb Farm offer an exciting array of programs and events throughout the year—from guided hikes on the Holcomb Tree Trail to seasonal plant sales, cooking demonstrations, gardening workshops, pop-up veggie sales, educational talks, yoga, and more. Beloved traditions like our annual Holcomb Hoedown and Harvest Celebration bring the community together, and we’re always offering exciting new programs. Friends of Holcomb Farm Annual Meeting
The Friends of Holcomb Farm will hold its Annual Meeting on August 21, 2021, at 10:00 am. The meeting will take place on the Knoll near the Seat on the Holcomb Tree Trail overlooking the main Holcomb Farm complex—the same location where we met last year. All members are welcome; a member is anyone who has donated at least $25 in the past year, and/or is a CSA shareholder. We will offer guided Tree Trail tours before the meeting, departing at 9:00 and 9:30 am from the meeting site. If your membership is not current, we hope you will renew and join us!
Please park at the main Holcomb Farm complex located at 113 Simsbury Road. Walk across the intersection of Simsbury Road and Day Street South to the Holcomb Tree Trail. Proceed up the gravel farm road and follow the signs to the Seat, which is the group of benches at the top of the Knoll. This walk takes 5-10 minutes. If you cannot walk to the Seat, we can make alternate transportation arrangements.
Seating and bottled water will be provided. If it is raining, we will meet inside the CSA Barn at 111 Simsbury Road. We will send an email if we need to move indoors.
