The Friends of Holcomb Farm offer an exciting array of programs and events throughout the year—from guided hikes on the Holcomb Tree Trail to seasonal plant sales, cooking demonstrations, gardening workshops, pop-up veggie sales, educational talks, yoga, and more. Beloved traditions like our annual Holcomb Hoedown and Harvest Celebration bring the community together, and we’re always offering exciting new programs. Open Farm Day

Holcomb Farm is excited to participate in this Granby tradition! The Farm Store will be open from 10 am to 6 pm.
At 10 am, Metro Bis Executive Chef Chris Prosperi will teach visitors how to prepare some of his favorite Holcomb Farm vegetables in some of his favorite recipes. (Location: Farm Store)
At 1 pm, Farmer Joe O’Grady will lead a tour of the farm. Learn from an expert, as he explains how he and his crew care for the land and how that care translates into a better product. Learn about innovations and advancements in sustainable farming, how he’s extended the growing season, how he is working to combat the effects of a changing climate, and more. (Meet in front of the Farm Store.)
10am – 2 pm: Learn about the animals that live in Granby at the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection tent. Pelts of our local wildlife will be on display. Kids of all ages will enjoy learning more about the animals that call Granby home.
From 10 am to 4 pm, you can:
Learn about the Healing Meals Project and the Bionutrient Food Association; and shop the Farm Store for Holcomb Farm vegetables and products from other local farms and providers, as well.
