The Friends of Holcomb Farm offer an exciting array of programs and events throughout the year—from guided hikes on the Holcomb Tree Trail to seasonal plant sales, cooking demonstrations, gardening workshops, pop-up veggie sales, educational talks, yoga, and more. Beloved traditions like our annual Holcomb Hoedown and Harvest Celebration bring the community together, and we’re always offering exciting new programs. Open Farm Day @ Holcomb Farm – FREE
Be sure to include Holcomb Farm on your list of places to visit on Granby’s Open Farm Day, September 15th. Julie Wern will be doing a cooking demo with produce from the Farm at 12:30, and there will be a “Tools of the Trade” Show and Tell at 10:30 and 2:30 where Farmer Joe O’Grady will be giving a tour of all the tractor implements we use at the farm. Kids – of all ages – won’t want to miss this. Peggy Lareau will also be there with a CT wildlife exhibit.
