The Friends of Holcomb Farm offer an exciting array of programs and events throughout the year—from guided hikes on the Holcomb Tree Trail to seasonal plant sales, cooking demonstrations, gardening workshops, pop-up veggie sales, educational talks, yoga, and more. Beloved traditions like our annual Holcomb Hoedown and Harvest Celebration bring the community together, and we’re always offering exciting new programs. Pop-Up Veggie Sale
We’ve got another pop up veggie sale for you this week and it’s more diverse, smaller and greener (all good things)! The cost is $50 and the bags will contain:
Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Parnsips, Onions, Potatoes, Rutabaga, Beets, Celeriac, Daikon Radishes, and GREENS
Pick Up Hours at the CSA Barn 111 Simsbury Rd:
Thursday the 17th 10 am to 4 pm
Friday the 18th 10 am to 4 pm
Saturday the 19th 10 am to 2 pm
Please email joe@holcombfarm.org if you’d like to pick up a share so we can get an idea of how many bags to pack (you can pay by cash or check when you pick up).
Exact contents of the bags will depend on how much we get from our hoophouses and how many folks RSVP. Now that are heated seedling house is up and running we’ll have micro greens, shoots and sprouts as an option to make sure everyone gets something leafy to eat!
**CSA members will have access to free seconds and extras!
