The Friends of Holcomb Farm have long envisioned ways to improve our operations and expand our capacity to serve the community. Now, an exceptional opportunity has taken root, right next to our fields, on land that had been part of the original Holcomb Farm. Our goal is to transform the former West Granby First United Methodist Church building—located next door to our current CSA & Farm Store—into a new year round farm store with products from Holcomb Farm and other local producers; an indoor post-harvest facility for cleaning, packaging, and storing Holcomb Farm produce; and a clean, temperature-controlled staff headquarters for our farm crew, staff, and volunteers.
Help Us Bring Our New Building to Life
We have made incredible progress on our fundraising goals, but there’s still work to be done. Contributions to the Jenny Emery Vision Fund and the Building for Our Future campaigns will help us fund this exciting project. Every gift matters.

MARCH 1, 2026 UPDATE - HOLD ONTO YOUR HARDHATS!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of hundreds of supporters, construction renovations have officially begun at 87 Simsbury Road, the soon-to-be new home of the Holcomb Farm CSA & Farm Store, a welcoming space where visitors can buy fresh produce, support local farms, and connect with the land.
Prescott Construction Management, under the direction of Construction Manager Kevin West, has removed the old flooring and is preparing the surfaces for their next phase. Outdated baseboard electric heat will be upgraded to more energy-efficient heating and cooling systems -- an upgrade made possible thanks to your generous support and through Connecticut’s Neighborhood Assistance Act (NAA) tax credit program.
Also underway is demolition of the existing restrooms to create modern, ADA-compliant facilities that will better serve both visitors and staff. Space is being prepped for a staff room for our hard-working farm crew. Plans to redesign the front entrance have been finalized and we are working on plans to revitalize the exterior landscape. We've also partnered with McLean Game Refuge to utilize wood harvested from a habitat restoration project. We are working with local craftsmen, tradespeople, nurserymen, and designers throughout this process – this project will truly reflect our community.
