Holcomb Farm Events
The Friends of Holcomb Farm offer an exciting array of programs and events throughout the year—from guided hikes on the Holcomb Tree Trail to seasonal plant sales, cooking demonstrations, gardening workshops, pop-up veggie sales, educational talks, yoga, and more. Beloved traditions like our annual Holcomb Hoedown and Harvest Celebration bring the community together, and we’re always offering exciting new programs. Subscribe to our calendar or follow us on Facebook or Instagram to stay abreast of all that’s going on on the farm!
Habitat Walk

Join us for a 1.5-mile guided walk through the beautiful east fields of Holcomb Farm. Along the way we will explore a variety of wildlife habitats, from open fields to pond edges to forests. Learn about the native vegetation that supports local wildlife and hone your observation skills to use on your next visit.
Your guides will be Peggy Lareau, DEEP Master Wildlife Conservationist and Friends of Holcomb Farm Stewardship Committee member; and Gary Adamson, Plant Conservation Volunteer with the Native Plant Trust, Massachusetts Natural Resource Volunteer Coordinator for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, and a Holcomb Tree Trail volunteer.
Meet at the Holcomb Farm Main Campus Parking Lot, 113 Simsbury Road, West Granby at 3:30 pm.
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable hiking shoes. Please be advised: some trails may be soggy.
All ages welcome. (No dogs, please.)
