The Friends of Holcomb Farm are excited to welcome New Horizons Village as the newest partner in our Fresh Access program.
Located in Unionville, New Horizons Village provides accessible housing and 24/7 support for 106 adults with physical disabilities, many of whom live on fixed incomes. Thanks to a grant from Greater Hartford Gives, along with matching support from Fresh Access and the generosity of our donors, residents will receive monthly distributions of fresh Holcomb Farm produce throughout the growing season.
New Horizons Village joins eight other community partners helping Fresh Access provide fresh, nutritious produce to more than 600 households across the region. Together, we are improving access to healthy, locally grown food for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity, health challenges, or financial hardship.
We are grateful to our Fresh Access Heroes, donors, and community partners whose support makes this work possible. We look forward to growing this new partnership and helping New Horizons Village residents enjoy the nutrition and flavor of fresh, local produce.
